We arrived after a long journey to a very warm welcome on reception at Croyde Bay Resort.

We had an interconnecting hotel room (which was a one hotel family room and one hotel triple with kitchenette) so the youngest slept in my room whilst the older children slept next door. Everything was spotlessly clean and anything you could need whilst away, but probably don’t want to pack, was available including a hairdryer and iron.

The rooms were very spacious and both had a television and a bathroom. We also had doors out to the park and garden. I found this great as while I got the bag ready in the morning the children could play and the older ones kept an eye on them. It is almost enclosed, so for 7 and up I think they could be trusted alone.

I loved that the beach was within walking distance and a shower available as you came back to Croyde Bay Resort. The beach was stunning and very clean.

The children loved the pool and spa facilities, they were old enough to use some of them. For me this was an amazing experience as I could have all the children in the pool and could watch them. There was a life guard at all times too. This is a first for us as with triplets it’s almost impossible without another adult. I only did it because I knew I could manage with the older ones help. This meant the triplets water confidence went sky high in just a few days.

The food at Croyde Bay was amazing too with the new steakhouse and family menu launched this year.

Breakfasts that kept you full till way after normal lunch time and so much choice. We also had dinner one evening – it was very well presented, quick service, very good portion sizes and fantastic value for money. Whilst we at dinner we watched the evening entertainment. The youngest got up and joined in and had so much fun. When our meals arrived it also kept them entertained at the table.

The village was just a 10 minute walk and a great variety of holiday shops – we had the tastiest ice cream and a cream tea! We walked back to Croyde Bay Resort via the beach which was still really warm late evening.

We move rooms and stayed in a lodge for a night. These are very new and are literally a home from home. It has been very well thoughtout. Again immaculately clean and everything you could possibly need including dishwasher and hoover. All of us would love to come back and stay longer in the lodge. They are super spacious and in the best location.

I would highly recommend Croyde Bay Resort from a family perspective, especially a big family as it can be difficult to find accommodation at times that will fit everyone in but also that everyone will be happy with in terms of location and activities.
